There are definitely quite a few Pools winners above $1000 since Feb. 1, but I haven't seen a single winner listed on the website. I mentioned it very clearly to OLG and they said it was most likely due to backlog. I got paid on a HKY pools mail-in claim for ~$3k a few weeks ago, and I'm not on the list. I think their system didn't get updated correctly after the switch-over.

I think you may be right about system glitch. I don't look at the list every day so just quickly eyeballed it and when I didn't see any ProLine/PointSpread winners with payouts more than $1K after February 1st, I (mistakenly) assumed that was due to the new offerings and not necessarily a technical glitch.

Did you contact OLG support/open a ticket with them to inquire if a fix is coming?

They called me back about it, and were confused and thought I was asking about lack of new pictures of sports winners posted on the website. When I re-explained everything and said it was for the $1000+ list, they said they would look into it, but I never received a follow up call.

Badmington, you used to see the POOLS results, ie. Pool payout & how many winners. But I don't even see that anymore. I asked my local retailer for any kind of results & he said none was available. When the NFL starts up, I wonder if they change it. NFL POOLS is big $$$$. They better not fool around with NFL bettors.

Hey Hack, I don't know about the retail side but all the Pools results are available online. Here is the direct link

A quick glance and the payouts look pretty pedestrian, for the most part. The interest level doesn't simply look to be there for MLB, NBA and even NHL.

I noticed a nice feature they added a few weeks ago. It updates in real-time when the pool size reaches >$1000.

HOCKEY - NHL
#09
CLOSING ON
TUESDAY APRIL 26, 2022 | 19:00 ET
Est. Pool Size: $1,149

Here's a graph for MLB Card 76 on April 8th.

Looking forward to this for NFL pools. :)

Assuming you don’t box any game, is it reasonable to expect a $5 ticket for a 12-game parlay card with a book would net more than the $4K BBL Pools pot we are seeing these days?

Obviously it all depends what price we got for the underdogs and how many of them actually comes through but I wonder if that’s a better play?

Here's an example from last week:
FRIDAY APRIL 22, 2022
12 game BBL card, with 1 game POSTPONED

Card 03
HOME VISITOR A B
New York Yankees Cleveland Guardians 1.51 2.64 H
Philadelphia Phillies Milwaukee Brewers 1.80 2.07 H
Tampa Bay Rays Boston Red Sox 1.65 2.30 V
Detroit Tigers Colorado Rockies 1.66 2.30 POSTPONED
Atlanta Braves Miami Marlins 1.70 2.22 H
Minnesota Twins Chicago White Sox 1.91 1.93 H
Houston Astros Toronto Blue Jays 1.58 2.46 V
Los Angeles Angels Baltimore Orioles 1.54 2.57 V
Seattle Mariners Kansas City Royals 1.75 2.14 H
San Diego Padres Los Angeles Dodgers 2.36 1.62 V
Arizona Diamondbacks New York Mets 2.06 1.80 V
Oakland Athletics Texas Rangers 2.14 1.75 V

12/12 prize $5976.00
$2988.00 / 2 winners

This is effectively an 11 game card due to the rainout.

parlay odds = 1.51 * 1.80 * 2.30 * 1.00 * 1.70 * 1.91 * 2.46 * 2.57 * 1.75 * 1.62 * 1.80 * 1.75 = 1146
$5 * 1146 = $5730

The parlay pays more, since there were multiple winners for this card. However, you lose out on a chance at 11/12 when there is no perfect card, and this happens frequently with smaller pots. Keep in mind you're getting killed by vig with a parlay. After dividing out the vig, breakeven for this outcome is roughly $8800 for a $5 bet, so pot size needs to be much higher. I would say $20k+ to play 12 game BBL, and you need to have 1 or 2 winners only.

This article makes it sound like OLG will digitize Pools plays at some point.

https://www.casinoreports.ca/2022/05/02 ... et-launch/

I wonder if it's still possible to box more than 4 games when everything goes digital? I don't see why not but a lot of unknowns at this point...
