cashing tickets
Assume alot of people here are in the same boat - lots of tickets and cash that now are of little use with retail edge plays probably gone. Also assume everyone played tickets paying under 1k in order to cash at store.
So what is everyone planning on doing with these tickets and cash? Is anyone going to bring a garbage bag full of tickets to OLG? Are there risks in not getting paid doing this? Banks don't appreciate large cash deposits, any creative ways of getting your cash in the system?

Re: cashing tickets
I have not had a problem cashing large amounts for some time. But in years ago I had one out that would cash anything. In Ottawa it was at the race track casino. I assume other places have similar spots.
The advantage was that like a store they did not check the tickets for things like the $100 store limit being violated. The other advantage is they can handle any amount. I've done as much as over 100K in one go. Also they will if you prefer issue an OLG cheque!
As I say not sure if this still goes but might be worth looking into.

Word of advice for those cashing out, don't poo in your own backyard.ProlinePlayer wrote: ↑Sat Feb 05, 2022 2:13 pmI have not had a problem cashing large amounts for some time. Can you elaborate on the ramifications of this, red? Love your analogy btw, lol. You don't think the poo will be good for the plants as fertilizers?red_falcon wrote: ↑Sat Feb 05, 2022 2:54 pmWord of advice for those cashing out, don't poo in your own backyard.ProlinePlayer wrote: ↑Sat Feb 05, 2022 2:13 pmI have not had a problem cashing large amounts for some time. P.S. I would love to have garbage bags full of winning tickets to cash right about now.

I am so sorry to hear of the issues you are going through. Just know we are here for you if you ever need to talk . The to much money problem has been a plague in the forum for years and we do what we can to counsel those in need. Tickets2cash have you reached out to veteran poster " IhaveTOmuchMONEYtoSPEND "
In all seriousness OLG would take 6 months anyways but more importantly you have to respect the relationships built at stores and going to OLG with garbage bags is not doing that in my opinion . I am more then aware of issues with banks and total avoidance of suspicious transactions is not really a thing or at least not for me . I imagine most are not concerned about this as at worst this is a 10 month from now problem.

Bang, the problem is poo is smelly and attracts unwanted vagrants.
Interpretation: While cashing out, you may unknowingly attract unwanted attention, especially at night.
I had a run in one time with this unsavory guy after one such transaction.
And especially while doing runs in the evenings, it's just safer to use gift cards. less money seen means less attention to you.

Not sure what you mean? I have always cashed tickets where I play. And also the Race Track is not on my play spots (too far out of the way. Only used for cashing which they are more than happy to do.red_falcon wrote: ↑Sat Feb 05, 2022 2:54 pmWord of advice for those cashing out, don't poo in your own backyard.ProlinePlayer wrote: ↑Sat Feb 05, 2022 2:13 pmI have not had a problem cashing large amounts for some time. Re: cashing tickets
The risk is that they will realise that you broke their $100 limit rule and will make paying out a long drawn out painful process for you. On the other hand they will in the end be forced to pay out. This is from a lawyer. He actually laughed at the idea that they could use this as a reason to refuse payment. Maybe more on this latertickets2cash wrote: ↑Sat Feb 05, 2022 10:28 amSo what is everyone planning on doing with these tickets and cash? Is anyone going to bring a garbage bag full of tickets to OLG?
