In 2020 what is the best way to get cash back or points from buying lottery in stores?

Got all the elf miles dumped into my account today, first impressions not so great for flights. Looked to book a flight to Heathrow, was 5200 pts plus $650 in fees and taxes, same flight on Expedia was $715 all in. so about a redemption value just over a cent a mile.

I think you need to set your earning miles to cash miles

I do have some set for cash but put some towards dreams,from what I had read on a few Canadian airmiles sites they all seemed to suggest a 12 to 25 cent redemption rate with an expected rate of 15 to 17 for most flights. Maybe it's just a covid thing right now and flights are really cheap on Expedia and airmiles hasn't adjusted their rates.

I think cash miles is better, sobey and metro constantly have bonus redemption events so you redeem 95 for $10 and you get 25 miles back. I hope you realize you can redeem air miles to buy gift cards right?

Yeah, I had my acccount all cash and but switched to a portion going to dream. I thought I would just put enough in the dream section to grab some flights for the family, problem is/was that the site doesn't let you see flights and prices unless you have enough miles in your account.

So would that work out to 14.28 cent per mile?

Just got points dump from SDM from 4 weeks ago promo .SDM did not pinch this time so that is a relieve !

Did you get all your points owed, I only got about 30% of them so far . I did buy over multiple days so maybe that’s just from first day of purchases and will get more over next few days. I hope.

So did they end up paying you points for last time zoo? I took the hit and did not fight for them .
