Points from gas stations
Re: Points from gas stations
Scene points are pretty sweet. Very versatile to redeem for max value. Food/travel/gift cards etc... The issue is once you max out the Scotia American express $100000 spent limit earning gets demoting from 3/6% to a measly 1%. Which is still better then nothing but does anyone have any tricks besides the Scotia American express for earning the points any better?

Hey Richhh,
Have you considered getting BMO eclipse?
Their cards earn 5X depending on where you buy your stuff.
Otherwise, another way is, instead of getting an infinite Visa, you opt for the more Premium Visa Inifinite privilege
that earns more based on multipliers.
Otherwise, you'd be best signing up for new cards, using P2 as get additional reference bonus for that 2ndary card.
Hope things are good on your side.
Red. =)

The Ford government is allowing The Beer Store to sell a lot more than just suds, letting it expand its offerings to OLG lottery tickets and other products beyond beer, 680 NewsRadio Toronto has learned.
The LCBO says it also believes it can sell lotto tickets but has not yet made the decision to do so. It’s all in a move to help ease the transition to corner stores and gas stations being permitted to sell alcohol starting this fall.

Re: Points from gas stations
I welcome this new development, tshi. More places to buy tickets so hopefully there will be more promotions.
Also we are able to collect Aeroplan points when we buy booze at LCBO, I wonder if that will extend to OLG lottery tickets as welll. If so that can be a game changer, depending on the limit restrictions and what have you, obviously.
Re: Points from gas stations
I know LCBO gift cards go on sale alot. Some of those ONE4ALL/THANKS whatever cards, some of them also works for LCBO I believe.
but you know, as with any government thing, this isn't gonna happen overnight, probably will take a while and involve a lawsuit or two lol

I actually have that all those cards.
Infinite Visa has a max rewards spend limit $15000 if I recall which is the issue with most cards. Oddly this card has rejected all proline purchases I have tried to make with it which is about 5 and I gave up. They text ask if its me tell me to try again and fails lol. They let me buy gum once.
Bmo Eclipse is much better card. Firstly Bmo does not care about nothing. That card has great sign up perks if I recall and max reward spend limit was 50k. Rewards are good to redeem as well.
I do sign up for new cards. Basically any card that is not from RBC usually worth the effort to sign up. Rbc earn is just shit compared to everyone else also the banks smells like sausage...

Hey gang, just letting you know even though the Petro 3x promo was supposed to end on July 1st, I am still getting them as of today (July 5th) from a couple of Petro stations in downtown Ottawa.
Not sure if this is a glitch in Petro system or if the promo was extended, without us knowing, but continue taking advantage of that, if you are interested and available, understanding this is the peak summer holiday periods and folks may simply be not around much to place bets.

Rogers World elite MasterCard with its unlimited 2% cashback on anything allows you to redeem for rogers products at 1.5 bonus. For instance spend $1500 redeem for only $1000. This is great but if accumulate hefty amounts of cashback and want to redeem for that 1.5X cashback and need other things for rogers to buy Bluejays seasons tickets count. They are renewing for 2025 season now. My suggesting would be buy td clubs $8200. Scalp those tickets online for additional profit. However if they continue to tank into next season that could devalue tickets. I do not think they are as bad as this years record indicates but just a guess.

I can confirm the 3x Petro Points promo has been extended to October 2nd, per flyer in the store.
